This week I was just approved for the The New United℠ Business Card. And this isn’t the first time I’ve had this credit card! With the currently elevated offer on this cobranded airline card, it was a no-brainer for us and our upcoming travel plans.

Keep reading to find out how I’m earning the welcome offer again, and see if this card is right for you too!

Welcome offer

🔥With this currently elevated offer, you can earn 100,000 United miles after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months. These points are usable only for booking flights through United Airlines, but this also means that you could book any partner flights you might find on their website as well!

We’re tentatively planning on using these miles for business class flights to Europe for the winter, and I am hoping to have my player 2 open the same card, so we would have over 200,000 United miles after meeting both minimum spends. 🙌🏼

Keep in mind that this IS a business credit card, so it won’t count toward your 5/24…another perk of this card!

Getting the welcome offer a second time

I opened this credit card for the first time in the spring of 2022. At the time, the welcome offer was only 60,000 miles, so this is a huge improvement! After holding the card for 2 years, I knew that I no longer needed the benefits the card offered, so I closed the card with the hopes of getting the welcome offer again in the future.

With the United suite of credit cards, you are eligible to earn the welcome offer on these cards once every 24 months. Since it had been well over 24 months since I last earned the welcome offer (not just since I opened the card, that’s 🔑), and I no longer had the card open, this was the time to jump on this elevated offer!

Tracking these dates

There is no way I would be able to track all these dates in my head to remember eligibility like this…so I have the Travel Freely app do all the heavy lifting for me. 😉

It’s free, it doesn’t require any sensitive information, and it tracks things like 5/24, welcome offer spending deadlines, card eligibility, and MORE.

Bottom line

With some bigger expenses coming up (tuition bill for my player 2, fence repairs, etc.) we should be able to meet the minimum spend fairly quickly, and end up with over 100,000 United miles in a few months.

This card is a great option for anyone that likes flying United, looking to build up their airline miles stash, or if you’re just looking for some great deals to fly your family across the US! With all the perks of this card, it was a welcome addition BACK into my wallet. 👏🏻💳

Side note: I cannot say thank you enough for using my links to apply! I earn a commission for those applications at no cost to you, and it helps keep all the free resources and support coming! 🩷
