How to use these miles

This is a cobranded credit card, meaning that it earns miles specially for booking on Flying Blue.

This means that you could book Air France or KLM flights, AND partner flights that you can find on those sites! Here’s how to book:

1️⃣ You will need to create a free loyalty account with Flying Blue and log in to see award flight prices. You’ll enter your origin, destination, fare type (like economy or business class), and I typically search for one-way flights. And this is KEY: leave the departure date blank if you have somewhat flexible travel ‼️🔑

2️⃣ Then you will see the award calendar pop up and you can toggle between the months to see the lowest priced dates. Then select which date you want to see flight options for.

3️⃣ Your list of available options will show and then you can select the flight you want to book/see prices for.

4️⃣ Flying Blue now has 3 pricing tiers (a recent change as of September 2026 😢) so you will pay more for certain flight perks and benefits. For instance, these are the 3 pricing options for a business class flight, and make sure to keep an eye on those taxes since they can add up quick depending on your destination.

Here is an example of the same flight but in economy:

Once you have chose the flight you want to book, you would then transfer any additional miles you need to your Flying Blue account, and finish your booking process!

How we’ve recently used Flying Blue miles…

✈️ We used 60,000 Flying Blue miles to book KLM business class from ORD - AMS - BRU. It is still one of our favorite business class experiences to date!

✈️ We used 41,500 Flying Blue miles to book KLM premium economy from EDI - AMS - JFk. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed premium economy and we would happily book this again!

Bottom line

If you’re a fan of Flying Blue, and you’re ready to earn points for your next trip to Europe, then this card is worth a look! Especially with this new welcome offer for 70,000 miles, it makes it a top option for your next airline card!
