🗞️This might be the best news from Hyatt all year…
Say goodbye to the archaic points transfer form, because you can now transfer Hyatt points DIGITALLY! 🎉
For years, Hyatt fans had to print, fill out, and manually sign a form before uploading the document. And then you had to wait for it to be processed before you would actually get the points into your account. It was a pain.
But now, these instant transfers are SO easy, it’s free, and there’s no limit on who you can transfer points to!
Quick tips to know
⭐️Both World of Hyatt members must have had their accounts open for at least 60 days
⭐️Transfers must be at least 1,000 points, and can transfer in increments of 500 after that
⭐️You can transfer/receive up to 525,000 points in a calendar year
⭐️Members can make up to 6 free transfers in a calendar year
How to transfer your points
When logged into your Hyatt account, select the “Account” option in the Membership section.
Scroll down until you see the Purchase and Gift Points section, and expand it to see the options below. Then choose “Gift your points.”
Then you’ll be able to choose the amount of points you would like to transfer starting in increments of 1,000 (500 after that). Once you have the correct amount selected, hit the GIFT BONUS POINTS button.
You’ll need the World of Hyatt number for the person you are transferring points to, along with their name and email. Once the details are filled out, select the CONTINUE button and you’re done! ✅👏🏻
Bottom line
This comes in handy for us since we are now going to be switching up our Hyatt points transfer strategy with the reduced transfer ratio from the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. Since my husband has the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, I will transfer my Chase points to his account, then he will transfer to Hyatt to get the 1:1 ratio, then he will transfer them from his Hyatt account to mine so I can book our stays!
And for all of us sharing Hyatt points, we welcome this simple way to make our award travel simpler.
