Capital One Venture X Business Deep Dive

This Capital One Venture X Business is a premium business card that offers another way to earn some of my favorite flexible rewards: Venture Miles. With a higher annual fee, this card offers some valuable perks that are simple to use and keep track of.

So here’s a breakdown of those perks, the benefits it offers, and how to turn these rewards into some fantastic (and steeply discounted 🤑) travel!

Welcome offer

Steeply discounted travel, headed your way!

⭐️When you open this premium business card, you can earn 150,000 bonus miles once you spend $30,000 in the first 3 months from account opening.

We’re talking at least $1,500 towards travel. That’s a huge perk right out the gate, and one easy way to offset the cost of the $395 annual fee.

And yes, that is a BIG minimum spend, so I always recommend having a plan in place for the spending requirement before applying. Like home renovations, tuition bills, tax payments….those would all be a perfect opportunity for a big spend like this!

Perks that you’ll use every single year

Premium credit cards mean premium travel benefits. And this card packs some *easy to use* perks, very similar to the personal version of this card: Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card.

Travel perks you’ll get with the Venture X Business:

🤑 $300 annual travel credit for travel booked in the Capital One Business Travel portal (credit is applied at checkout)

🎉 10,000 anniversary bonus miles on each card member anniversary

🛫Up to $120 credit for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry (renews every 4 years)

🍽️ Enjoy access to 1,300+ lounges worldwide, including Capital One Lounge locations and Priority Pass™  lounges, after enrollment.

🏨 $100 experience credit and other premium benefits on every booking at luxury hotels, resorts and vacation rentals from the Premier Collection.

❌ No foreign transaction fees

🚙Hertz President’s Circle status

*Eligible cardholders must enroll in the Hertz® Gold+™ Rewards status upgrade through the unique Benefits Tab link found within the Capital One website or mobile app after logging in. This offer is subject to change. Hertz Gold Terms and Rental Qualifications and Requirements apply.

Earning rates with the Venture X Business:

🛒 2x on all purchases

💻 10x on hotels and rental cars booked in the Capital One travel portal and 5x on flights and vacation rentals

That 2x on everything is one of the many reasons I keep this card year after year. This is what I call a “catch-all card” that I swipe when I’m making purchases that don’t fit into one of the other nice and neat earning categories (like groceries, gas, travel, etc.).

Anybody fancy earning 2x on all those Costco purchases? 😏

How it all adds up

In your first year alone, this card more than pays for itself. Let’s do the math:

-We’ve got $1,500 in value (MINIMUM) from that welcome offer.

-The $300 annual travel credit (which renews on each card member anniversary) is a flat $300 in value toward any travel purchase.

-The $120 Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit can be used for yourself, a friend, or family member!

That’s already $1,920 in value from that annual fee in the first year!

-And for each year after, the 10,000 anniversary miles (which also come on your card member anniversary), are worth at least $100 when used in the Capital One travel portal (and even more when transferred to airline or hotel transfer partners ✈️🏨).

That’s not even including any lounge access perks you take advantage of….you know I love that we can avoid pricey airport food when we travel!

🔥Travel credit tip: my favorite way to use that annual $300 travel credit is for booking my rental cars for our trips. It’s so hard to find good deals on rental cars, so this is a great way to offset that travel expense!

Bottom line

If you’ve got some big expenses coming up, and you’re looking for a business card that won’t count toward 5/24, the Capital One Venture X Business is a great place to start. With valuable perks, easy to manage benefits, and flexible rewards, this card is a no-brainer!
